Budgeting & Finances

Another very important area to concentrate on is the family reunion finances. Reunions do cost money and it is important to set budgets and keep finances properly accounted for. We suggest utilizing a trust worthy, numbers and detail oriented family member to be the reunion treasurer. They can then open up a bank account for the reunion and then keep the books.

It's important to keep the event affordable to the vast majority of family members. Keep affordability in mind when doing your reunion's planning and budgeting. Because the more family that can afford to attend, the more fun and successful your event should be.

The treasurer should also be responsible for collecting and keeping track of the registration payments from all the family members that are planning to participate.
